Singu Chuli Peak climbing is much stiffer proposition than Tharpu Chuli. It is the highest peak of all the trekking peaks in the Annapurna region. This is the 45th highest climbing peaks in Nepal. Singu Chuli lies to the north of Tharpu Chuli along the connecting ridge. There are no straight forward routes up the fluted peak mountain. The normal approach is a day or two beyond Machapuchare base camp and has the remotest feel of all trekking peaks in the area. It is often climbed after an acclimatization ascent of Tent Peak.
A perfect ice pyramid, Singu Chuli (6501m), formerly known as Fluted Peak is an outlier of Annapurna 1, relatively a mere bump on the rim of the imposing sanctuary wall and its steep South Face is one of the most striking sights in the cirque.
Following trekking trail to Annapurna Base Camp with breathtaking views of Annapurna ranges, Lamjung ranges, fishtail terrace field and ever smile villagers along the walking trail, we reach at Singu Chuli Peak climbing. The peak has verified to be very difficult to climb for most commercial climbing groups who have tried to concentrate on tent peak. Singu Chuli is the first summit on the long ridge thrown down from Tarke Kang (Glacier Dome) which separates the west and south Annapurna glaciers. The southwest ridge of the peak hooks up with the tent peak. The territory between the two peaks is a mystifying one and the ridge is not instant.
