Bardia National Park Tour from Kathmandu offers a variety of experience in its vast undisturb wilderness. Bardia National Park is situated in the far western Terai, east of Karnali River. It was established to protect representative ecosystems, conserve tiger and its prey species. The park is home to the endangered animals like the royal bengal tiger, wild elephant, one horn rhino, deer and black duck. Also the other endangered species include crocodile, dolphin and birds. There is more chance to see royal bengal tiger in Bardia national park, though it is far.
Bardia National Park is not crowded and touristic like in Chitwan National Park. It is nearly 450km far from Kathmandu. There is no tourist bus serivice from Kathmandu to Bardia National Park, but we can drive by A/C bus, it leaves from Kathmandu at 3:00 in the afternoon. It is also possible to get flight from kathmandu to Nepalgunj, and then drive 60km by jeep to Bardia National Park.
Day 1: Kathmandu to Bardia National Park.
Upon arrival at lodge you will have refreshment, briefing about lodge facilities and program for the day. Village tour to a nearby ethnic Tharu village where you will learn more about the life and lifestyle of the Tharus. Dinner & Overnight at lodge.
Day 2: Bardia Safari Tour
Wake up call, have breakfast, Elephant ride safari for an hour, an excellent opportunity to get the lifetime experience on the elephant back and to see the wildlife of the Park. Visit to visitor Center, Crocodile Breeding Center and Tharu Cultural Museum, Lunch, Jungle Walk-An excellent opportunity to see the wild animals, small mammals, birds and waits in the tower (Machan) to have the wild sightseeing, accompanied by our experienced naturalists and wild life tracker. Excellent photographic opportunities are plentiful, Dinner & overnight at lodge.
Day 3: Bardia Jungle Safari Tour
Wakeup call, Breakfast, Tiger Tracking and Bird Watching. An excellent opportunity to see a Royal Bengal tiger and a great many species of birds found in Bardia, Lunch, and Jeep Drive-An excellent opportunity to see wild animals and you will also encounter many other smaller mammals that have made Bardia their home, Dinner & overnight at lodge.
Day 4: Bardia to Kathmandu.
Wake up call, Breakfast, watch dolphin in Karnali River, Lunch, departure to onward destination.
