Day 1: Arrive to Kathmandu
Upon arrival, you will visit the Swayambhunath Temple – said to be a 2,500 years stupa on a hillock, which offers a breath-taking view of Kathmandu City. Thereafter, transfer to your hotel for check-in. Dinner and overnight stay in Kathmandu.
Day 2: Kathmandu - Pokhara
Depart from Kathmandu to Pokhara by coach. This lakeside village sits “front-row centre” to one of the most beautiful Himalayan panoramas in the world. The Annapurnas and the famous “Fishtial” mountain peak of Machapuchare tower over the tropical setting of Pokhara. Your two days here will be the scenic highlight of your trip.
Day 3: Pokhara - Sarankot - Pokhara
Early wake-up call for a short drive to Sarankot to visit one of the most popular tourist spots to watch the sun rise. This place is situated at an elevation of 1,500m above sea level. Return to hotel for a leisurely breakfast, followed by your half day city tour. Visit “Magic Land or Dreamland” of Nepal; Devi’s fall, Mahadev Gupteswor Cave and a Tibetan refugee camp, where you can see their way of life. Their specialty of hand-woven carpet factory is made from the best quality mountain goat’s wool. After lunch near Lake Fewa, we will go for mini trek up the newly built World Peace Stupa. At 1,050m high, you will be able to see the beautiful heart-shaped Lake Fewa and the city view of Pokhara. Tonight enjoy the beautiful Cultural Folk Dance show over a sumptuous dinner.
Day 4: Pokhara - Kathmandu
Depart Pokhara to Kathmandu 200km by coach or domestic flight (USD 67 optional). Upon arrival in Kathmandu, check-in to hotel for rest. Afternoon, visit Patan (Lalitpur), which is the oldest of the three major cities in Kathmandu Valley, famous for its Buddhist monuments and Hindu temples. Watch the traditional artisans working with wood, stones and metals. After lunch, proceed to visit Bouddhanath Stupa – the largest stupa in Asia and listed in the UNESCO World Heritage Sites since 1979.
Day 5: Kathmandu - Nagarkot
After breakfast, visit Kathmandu Durbar Square and if you are lucky, you will get a glance of the famous Kumari, the living Buddha of Nepal. Continue to Nagarkot – this scenic spot at 2,300m above sea level, commands a beautiful view of the sunset and on a clear day, a spectacular view of Mount Everest. In the evening, watch the Himalayan sunset as you overnight at Nagarkot Country Villa Hotel or similar.
Day 6: Nagarkot
A full day in Nagarkot to enjoy the view of the eastern Himalayas. Side excursion can be arranged to visit local school & villages in the afternoon and drive to a view point to see the beautiful sunset view.
Day 7: Nagarkot - Kathmandu
Wake up to the beginning of a cold but stunningly spectacular dawn: the first rays of the sun over the peaks of the Himalayas from Kanchenjunga and Mount Everest in the Far East, to the Annapurnas and Dhaulagiri in the west.
Day 8: Kathmandu
After breakfast, free at leisure until your transfer to the airport for your return flight back to home.
