3 days Kathmandu Chitwan National Park Tour discovers nature of Chitwan National Park. It is home to one horned rhino, royal bengal tiger and asian elephants. The Chitwan wildlife tour starts from Katmandu with an early morning toursit bus drive that takes 5 hours to Chitwan. Spend 3 days in Chitwan National Park doing different jungle safari activities including Elephant back safari and elephant bath, canoeing ride on Rapti River, participate on Tharu culture dance and Tharu village walking tour, Jungle trekking in Chitwan National Park and bird watching.
On the 3 days/2 nights Chitwan National Park Tour Package, it includes all above mention jungle safari activities, all hotel accommodation and meals like breakfast, lunch and dinner. Both way trasportation by tourist bus is also included, but the flight and private car or jeep transferportion is not included on Chitwan tour package. Day 1: Kathmandu to Chitwan National Park.
Drive to Chitwan by tourist coach. On arrival you will receive and transfer to the resort for refreshments and a briefing about program activities. Relax over lunch and then tour an ethnic Tharu village, where you will learn more about the lifestyle of the Tharus. Visit the National Park Visitor center to learn about the history of the National Park and about the wildlife before getting a sunset view from the banks of the Rapti River.
Enjoy a Tharu Cultural Dance Program. You will get the opportunity to participate in the spectacular show by the local villagers, or enjoy a slide show presentation about the attractions at Chitwan. Relax over dinner before retiring for the night and resting before your early morning wake up call.
Day 2: Chitwan Jungle Safari Tour
You will get a wakeup call at 06:00 for breakfast and a departure by canoe for a ride along the Rapti River. This is an excellent opportunity to do some bird watching and to look out for the rare species of crocodiles, marsh muggers and the fish-eating gharial.
Take a jungle walk and on the way back to the lodge, enjoy the spectacle of watching elephant’s bathing. After lunch go on an elephant safari looking out for the 4 different kinds of deer, rhinoceros, wild boar, monkey, leopard, sloth bear and, if you are really lucky, the royal Bengal tiger. You will encounter many other smaller mammals that make Chitwan their home. Enjoy a Tharu Cultural Dance presentation in the evening or a slide show presentation before dinner.
Day 3: Chitwan to Kathmandu.
Wake a little later today and after breakfast visit the Government Elephant Breeding Centre. Responsible for providing the elephants for the elephant safaris in Chitwan National Park, you will see many baby elephants interacting with their mothers. Say goodbye to Chitwan and depart at 9:00 for your onward journey.
