Australian camp trekking is pretty trekking in Pokhara offers some of the most dramatic close up views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri mountain range. Australian camp-Dhampus –Sarangkot trekking is astonishing. This trekking area is home to Magars, Chettris, Brahmins and Gurung is the backbone of the famous Gorkha regiments.

The trek passes through rhododendron and mixed forest alive with ferns and birds through spectacular villages with amazing Himalayan back drops eventually leading to Sarangkot (2000m). The following morning visits Sarangkot view tower- a vantage point to view the Annapurna massif and Dhaulagiri with sun rise and lighting of Pokhara city attach with Phewa Lake in the evening.

The trekking makes a small eight letter knot visits Australian camp, Dhampus, Naudanda, Sarankot and finally ends in Pokhara. The trekking is fitted for all level of people from small kids to old ages people. Staying at neat and clean family run guest house accommodation with locally made meals is another charm of Australian Camp Trekking. Completely feel free and relax on this trek, the highest elevation of this trek is at 1900m,so there is no any risk of altitude sickness at all on treks to Australian camp.

Below is Australian camp trekking itinerary, and write us if you have any inquiry and advice. It would be nice to see you. This is not a fixed itinerary so, it can be changed/modified in anyway according to our client’s wishes and needs.

Option 1:
Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu, Nepal.
On arrival at Kathmandu airport, we meet/receive you there and then transfer to Hotel. In the afternoon free, explore Kathmandu local market by yourself.

Day 2: Kathmandu tour
Have breakfast, at 9:00 in the morning start Kathmandu tour – visit 4 UNESCO sites of Kathmandu - Pashupatinath temple, Boudhanath stupa, Swoyambhunath stupa known as monkey temple and Kathmandu durbar square, see the living goddess Kumari and walk back to Thamel via the colorful local market.

Day 3: Kathmandu -Pokhara.
Drive or fly to Pokhara (820m). Both are the great option, by drive it takes 6 hours and by flight it is an 30 minute flight. Overnight stay in Pokhara.

Day 4: Pokhara-Australian Camp (2060m)
Drive to Kande (1770m) for an hour. Trek to Australian Camp (2060m) for 2 hours.  This is very good place from there we could see long panoramic Himalaya view with sun set and sun rise view. Overnight stay in Teahouse.

Day 5: Australian camp-Sarankot.
Trek to Sarankot (1930m) for 6 hours on scenic village trail. Sarankot is best spot nearby Pokhara from there we could see awesome view of sunrise and Himalaya. It overlooks fantastic lighting city of Pokhara and Phewa Lake. Overnight stay in Sarankot.

Day 6: Sarankot -Pokhara.
Trek down to Pokhara or paragliding down or zipline to Pokhara after the morning sunrise view and panoramic Himalayan ranges.

Day 7: Kathmandu- Pokhara.
Drive, Pokhara - Kathmandu. Overnight stay in Kathmandu.

Day 8: Free Day. In the evening join our farewell dinner at typical Nepali resturant with culture dance program. Overnight stay in Kathmandu

Day 9: Kathmandu airport.

Option 2:
Australian camp Chandrakot Trekking Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive in Kathmandu.
On arrival at Kathmandu airport, meets and greets by us, then drive to hotel. Overnight hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 2: Kathmandu –Pokhara.
Drive to Pokhara 6-7 hours by tourist bus and transfer to your hotel. Overnight stay hotel in Pokhara.

Day3: Pokhara (820m)-Australian Camp (1880m)
From pokhara about 45 Minutes drive to Dhampus Phedi and from phedi start immediately ascend through the small forest and innumerable stone stairs along the first village of Dhampus, upper part of Dhampus village is much bigger where you stop for hot lunch after lunch walk up gently again about four hours up to Australian camp. Enjoy the rewarding view of Annapurnas, Fishtail and so on other many peaks with evening breeze.

Day 4: Australian camp -Chandrakot (1580)
5 hours walk, after breakfast get ready your luggage and start descend gently along the Gurungs and Brahman village and most ways are through the forest stop somewhere for lunch after lunch continue up to Chandrakot.

Day 5: Chandrakot -Pokhara.
After your breakfast walk about one and half hours up to the road head and take land transport to Pokhara about 1 hour drive back to Pokhara.

Day 6: Kathmandu-Pokhara.
Drive back to Kathmandu 6-7 hours by tourist bus and overnight hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 7: Kathmandu Airport

Cost Includes

  • Airport receives and departure transfer by private vehicle – airport/hotel/airport.
  • Good hotel accommodation with breakfast in Kathmandu and Pokhara as per the clients demands.
  • Kathmandu tour with tour guide on private coach could be car, van or bus.
  • All ground transportation by private vehicle or flight as per the client’s request.
  • All the necessary trekking permits – TIMS Card and ACAP trekking permit.
  • Simple – neat and clean best available mountain guest house accommodation on twin bed room with hot shower at the end of trekking day.
  • All three times meals – breakfast, lunch and dinner with 3 cups of tea daily during trekking.
  • English speaking trekking guide during trekking and 1 porter between every 2 clients who carry 25 kg luggage, their insurance, meals, salary, accommodation and transportation cost.
  • Farewell dinner in Kathmandu on last evening of trekking tour.
  • All government tax and services charge.

Cost Excludes

  • Lunch and Dinner in city like Kathmandu and Pokhara.
  • Client’s travel insurance that should cover Helicopter rescue in case of emergency or evacuation.
  • All drinks like coke, beer, fanta, whisky, mineral water, pot of tea or coffee and hot water.
  • Expenses of personal nature- telephone, internet, laundry and all unexpected expenses due to weather situation like flight delay, road blocked by landslide or accident that is out of our hand, we can’t control it.
  • Tips for guide, porter and driver, minimum 10% of the tour trekking cost amount is good tips recommendation that you can divide to guide, porter and driver as per their service.
  • Personal trekking equipments and medical kit.
  • Heater costs in guesthouses
  • Nepal visa fee and all the cost that is not mention on cost included.
  • International flight ticket cost.
