Ghandruk village trekking is the shortest and best trek in Annapurna of Nepal. Ghandruk trek is a wonderful introduction of trekking in Nepal. Ghandruk is a low altitude trekking since Ghandruk (2000m), the highest elevation of this trek. Trek to Ghandruk takes you past terraced hills into picturesque villages and through impressive forests of rhododendrons. Ghandruk is the village of the friendly Gurung people dots the landscape and provide comfortable lodges run by families where we stop each night and eat there.

Ghadruk is the homeland of Gurung people has their own language, culture, costumes and way of lifestyle. They served in British Gurkha and famous for their bravery.  So the Ghandruk trekking is an excellent way to learn about Gurung and their culture. The spectacular Annapurna Himalayan range provides a breathtaking backdrop for Ghandruk adventure holidays. Our trekking helpers carry your entire luggage, so all you need to carry is a light day pack.

This is a short and easy trekking holidays. No any previous trekking and hiking experience and special trekking equipment is required for this trekking. An enthusiastic gentle man and lady can to this trekking. Trekking to Ghandruk village, ACAP permit and TIMS card is required for this trekking. Trekking with professional tour guide is nice since he look after you on trekking and explain you about its people, cultures and Himalaya on trekking. Below are Ghandruk trekking itinerary, and please kindly find it and write us if you have any inquiry and suggestion.

Day1: Arrival in Kathmandu
On arrival you will be picked up at Kathmandu airport and transfer to the hotel by our airport representative. Check in and rest for well. After refreshment tour guide will take you to the Kathmandu Durbar Square for half day sightseeing. This is one of the famous Sightseeing sport in Kathmandu which is listed UNESCO world heritage site. Stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 2: Kathmandu day tour
Today an early morning your driver will pick you from our hotel timely and transfer to the same airport where you came from for Mt Everest Experience an hour mountain flight, which take all around the mountain of Nepal. Back to hotel, after breakfast you have guided sightseeing tours to Swoyambhunath Stupa, Kathmandu Durbar Square, Pashupatinath Temple and Boudhanath Stupa. Stay overnight at hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 3: Drive to Pokhara via rafting
Today an early morning breakfast in hotel, you will pick by your guide and transfer to the rafting starting point for 3 hrs rafting in the Trishuli River. It is about 3 hrs drive to Rafting point, after rafting you will transfer to the Pokhara. After 3 hours drive you will get to Pokhara, the city of nature and lakes where you are going to spend overnight.

Day 4: Drive to Phedi (30min) and trek to Tolka (1810m) 4-5 hrs trek.
Today after breakfast you will drive up to Phedi from where the trek begins. You will be rewarded with great views of the mountains that continue to improve as you ascend along the ridge to Dhampus (1750m), from where you will have magnificent view of Fishtail and Annapurna Mountain. Continues trek to Pothana where you will have lunch break. After lunch you will have up and down trek to Small settlement Tolka. Stay overnight at the tea house.

Day 5: Trek to Ghandruk (1970m, 4-5 hrs trek)
After an early morning breakfast at the lodge, you will trek slowly downhill to Landruk from where the trail descends all the way to Modi Khola.  After crossing Modi Khola stream on a suspension bridge with a view of wild honey bee hives on the rocky cliff, from here the trail leads all the way up to a Ghandruk. Ghandruk is a big Gurung Settlement, kind of modern town of this trek where you can see local museum and Buddhist Monasteries. Stay overnight at the lodge.

Day 6: Trek to Nayapul-Pokhara (4-5 hrs walk and 2 hrs drive)
Ghandruk is one of the best places from where you can have best view of the Annapurna, Hiunchuli and Fishtial very close by. After wonderful short time in the Ghandruk, trek down all the way to Nayapul via Birethanti. Nayapul is the ending point of the trek, drive back to Pokhara. Stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 7: Drive back to Kathmandu
After fantastic time in and around Pokhara, today after breakfast you will transfer to the tourist bus station for a day scenic countryside drive to Kathmandu. Stay overnight at the hotel. You can also fly to Kathmandu which takes 35minutes flight.

Day 8: Kathmandu Aiport
After wonderful time in Nepal, today you will timely pick up from hotel and transfer to the airport for your next flight destination.

Cost Includes

  • Airport receives and departure transfer by private vehicle – airport/hotel/airport.
  • Good hotel accommodation with breakfast in Kathmandu and Pokhara as per the clients demands.
  • Kathmandu tour with tour guide on private coach could be car, van or bus.
  • All ground transportation by private vehicle or flight as per the client’s request.
  • All the necessary trekking permits – TIMS Card and ACAP trekking permit.
  • Simple – neat and clean best available mountain guest house accommodation on twin bed room with hot shower at the end of trekking day.
  • All three times meals – breakfast, lunch and dinner with 3 cups of tea daily during trekking.
  • English speaking trekking guide during trekking and 1 porter between every 2 clients who carry 25 kg luggage, their insurance, meals, salary, accommodation and transportation cost.
  • Farewell dinner in Kathmandu on last evening of trekking tour.
  • All government tax and services charge.

Cost Excludes

  • Lunch and Dinner in city like Kathmandu and Pokhara.
  • Client’s travel insurance that should cover Helicopter rescue in case of emergency or evacuation.
  • All drinks like coke, beer, fanta, whisky, mineral water, pot of tea or coffee and hot water.
  • Expenses of personal nature- telephone, internet, laundry and all unexpected expenses due to weather situation like flight delay, road blocked by landslide or accident that is out of our hand, we can’t control it.
  • Tips for guide, porter and driver, minimum 10% of the tour trekking cost amount is good tips recommendation that you can divide to guide, porter and driver as per their service.
  • Personal trekking equipments and medical kit.
  • Heater costs in guesthouses
  • Nepal visa fee and all the cost that is not mention on cost included.
