An easy to medium level trek to Ghandrung. ACAP permit and TIMS card are necessary documents for Annapurna trekking. Ghandrung trek can be done all around the year, but in rainy seasons July, August and mid September, not good visibility of Himalaya range. Day 1: Arrive in Kathmandu.
Upon arrival in Kathmandu, you will have warm reception and greet from us and then transfer to hotel. In the evening, you will brief about Ghandrung village trekking from us and make a final payment before trek tour departure and stay overnight at Kathmandu hotel.
Day 2: Pokhara/Dhamphus or Pothana trek.
30 minutes away from Pokhara to Phedi and then continues trekking ascends steeply through forest and later through paddy fields to the village of Damphus for lunch and further ascends through forest enjoying dramatic views of Himalaya to Pothana and stay overnight at Pothana.
Day 3: Dhampus/Landrung Trek (1700m, 5/6 hours walking).
The trekking trail goes along the ridge to Deurali and then descends through forest again for some time to the small villages of Tolka and Beri Kharka. Final leg of trekking descends through scattered forests and villages to reach Landrung for overnight stay there.
Day 4: Landrung/Ghandrung trek (2135m, 3 to 4 hours walking).
We walks down steeply towards Modi River for an hour and then steep ascent through scattered villages with beautiful views of the Himalayas to Ghandrung, one of the largest Gurung settlements in Western Nepal. Enjoy the good views of Gangapura, Machapuchhre (Fishtail), Mount Annapurna and other snow-capped mountains from there and visit the Gurung Museum and old Ghandruk village if time permits you. You may see process of distilling local wine means rakshi in some households of the village. It is a very amazing distilled process in a traditional way, and you love to see it and drink it.
Day 5: Ghandrung/Birethanti/Pokhara Trek (4 hours walking and 1 hours drive).
Trekking descends down to Syauli Bazaar for about 3 hours and then an easy walk for another an hour to Birethati and have lunch there, then continue a drive to Pokhara.
