Pokhara - Ghandrung Trekking is the ultimate destination of Annapurna foothill treks. Ghandrung trekking trail was once the main trade route through which traders with Mules from Mustang and Tibet used to pass through to reach Pokhara. Early morning sunrise over Dhaulagiri and Annapurna from Poonhill is very famous. There each day in the morning 600 trekkers climb up Poonhill to see morning sun rise view in peaked trekking season Sept to November. The panoramic view of Annapurna range on the way to Ghandrung village is unforgettable. The other highlight of the trek is Ghandrung. The major highlight of this area is the Traditional Gurung Museum which displays the local traditional clothes and equipment used by the Gurung people.

Ghandrung treks in Pokhara is the best views trekking of Annapurna range, Nilgiri , Dhaulagiri , Tukuche peak , Machhapuchhre , Dhampus peak, Hiuchuli, Gangapurna, Lamjung Himal other many more greatest views of mountains you never seen before which is make you the real adventure of life time. This trekking is suitable for who has few days for holidays in Nepal. The trekking route is the best in the Annapurna region since its easy level walking and trekking on low elevation staying at local family run tea house lodges with local tasty family meals during Ghandrung family homestay trekking in Annapurna area. An easy to medium level trek to Ghandrung. ACAP permit and TIMS card are necessary documents for Annapurna trekking. Ghandrung trek can be done all around the year, but in rainy seasons July, August and mid September, not good visibility of Himalaya range. Day 1: Arrive in Kathmandu.
Upon arrival in Kathmandu, you will have warm reception and greet from us and then transfer to hotel. In the evening, you will brief about Ghandrung village trekking from us and make a final payment before trek tour departure and stay overnight at Kathmandu hotel.

Day 2:  Pokhara/Dhamphus or Pothana trek.
30 minutes away from Pokhara to Phedi and then continues trekking ascends steeply through forest and later through paddy fields to the village of Damphus for lunch and further ascends through forest enjoying dramatic views of Himalaya to Pothana and stay overnight at Pothana.

Day 3: Dhampus/Landrung Trek (1700m, 5/6 hours walking).
The trekking trail goes along the ridge to Deurali and then descends through forest again for some time to the small villages of Tolka and Beri Kharka. Final leg of trekking descends through scattered forests and villages to reach Landrung for overnight stay there.

Day 4: Landrung/Ghandrung trek (2135m, 3 to 4 hours walking).
We walks down steeply towards Modi River for an hour and then steep ascent through scattered villages with beautiful views of the Himalayas to Ghandrung, one of the largest Gurung settlements in Western Nepal. Enjoy the good views of Gangapura, Machapuchhre (Fishtail), Mount Annapurna and other snow-capped mountains from there and visit the Gurung Museum and old Ghandruk village if time permits you. You may see process of distilling local wine means rakshi in some households of the village. It is a very amazing distilled process in a traditional way, and you love to see it and drink it.

Day 5: Ghandrung/Birethanti/Pokhara Trek (4 hours walking and 1 hours drive).
Trekking descends down to Syauli Bazaar for about 3 hours and then an easy walk for another an hour to Birethati and have lunch there, then continue a drive to Pokhara.

Cost Includes

  • Airport receives and departure transfer by private vehicle – airport/hotel/airport.
  • Good hotel accommodation with breakfast in Kathmandu and Pokhara as per the clients demands.
  • Kathmandu tour with tour guide on private coach could be car, van or bus.
  • All ground transportation by private vehicle or flight as per the client’s request.
  • All the necessary trekking permits – TIMS Card and ACAP trekking permit.
  • Simple – neat and clean best available mountain guest house accommodation on twin bed room with hot shower at the end of trekking day.
  • All three times meals – breakfast, lunch and dinner with 3 cups of tea daily during trekking.
  • English speaking trekking guide during trekking and 1 porter between every 2 clients who carry 25 kg luggage, their insurance, meals, salary, accommodation and transportation cost.
  • Farewell dinner in Kathmandu on last evening of trekking tour.
  • All government tax and services charge.

Cost Excludes

  • Lunch and Dinner in city like Kathmandu and Pokhara.
  • Client’s travel insurance that should cover Helicopter rescue in case of emergency or evacuation.
  • All drinks like coke, beer, fanta, whisky, mineral water, pot of tea or coffee and hot water.
  • Expenses of personal nature- telephone, internet, laundry and all unexpected expenses due to weather situation like flight delay, road blocked by landslide or accident that is out of our hand, we can’t control it.
  • Tips for guide, porter and driver, minimum 10% of the tour trekking cost amount is good tips recommendation that you can divide to guide, porter and driver as per their service.
  • Personal trekking equipments and medical kit.
  • Heater costs in guesthouses
  • Nepal visa fee and all the cost that is not mention on cost included.
  • International flight ticket cost.
