Gurung Heritage trail trekking is on a forgotten and unspoilt area of Himalayan Nepal, principally occupied by the Gurung people and rarely visited by outsiders. You will stay in Gurung homes and receive a simple but very warm welcome around the traditional open heart. You will eat as the villagers do eat simply rice, dal and a variety of fresh vegetables and local breads washed down by tea and the occasional glass of millet whisky. You will sit in a Gurung kitchen near the fire with Gurung family, and sleep as they do on the bedstead. It is better to bring a sleeping bag on trekking to Gurung Heritage trail that you can buy or rent in Kathmandu or Pokhara
An experienced and helpful guide will lead to Gurung Heritage trail amongst the hilltop villages of his youth under the Annapurna Mountains. He will show you the culture of the hilltop villages, locally produced handicrafts and utensils, a way of life that has changed little over the centuries, the traditional practices of ox-drawn plough, handsaws and recycled manure. Below is the Gurung Heritage trail trek itinerary and please kindly check it. Because of your limited time or budget, if you would like to make your trip longer/shorter than above set trip, please kindly advice us we are happy to follow your suggestion accordingly.
