Tangting Sikles trek is short, but perfect destination from Pokhara to avoid the normal Annapurna tourist trail. It explores the unspoiled area of Himalaya of Nepal. The trekking is principally occupied by Gurung people and rarely visited by outsider. This five days trek will take you into the heartland of the Gurungs, one of Nepal’s major ethnic groups. You will be able to witness first hand their culture civilization on the hilltop villages, locally produced Handicrafts and utensils, and an agrarian way of life that has changed little over the centuries.
This is home stay type of trekking. We stay on basic home stay lodge on this trekking. There is not well developed tea house on this trekking trail. The trekking route goes through Yangjakot, Tangting and Sikles villages which are larger and rich for tradition and culture in Kaski District. Tara hill is best view point of this route, along the thick rhododendron forest path to Ghalekharka from Sikles. We can see the whole Annapurna mountain range from Tara hilltop. This is medium level of trekking grade; previous hiking experience is helpful for this trekking since we walk on upon and downhill. Enquire us for more information of Tangting Sikles trekking itinerary, cost and trekking equipment.
