Day 1: Arrive in Lhasa.
Upon arrival in Lhasa, be met & transfer to your hotel. At 3500m, it is advisable to take the rest of the day easily for better acclimatization.
Day 2: Lhasa Tour
Start exploration of Lhasa with a bang! Visit the Potala Palace - listed as an UNESCO world heritage site. It dominates the city of Lhasa and is perhaps the most famous landmark of Tibet. Please note that Potala Palace restricts the visiting time to one hour per person inside the palace/museum. In the afternoon, you will visit the Jokhang monastery - the central cathedral - perhaps the most important monastery in Tibet. Also, visit a nunnery. You will have free time for exploring Barkhor - the bustling market in the heart of old Lhasa with its narrow streets.
Day 3: Lhasa Tour
We experience the rugged and spectacular landscape of Tibet this morning. Drive about 2.5 hours to Yamdrok Lake crossing high mountain passes of nearly 5000m. Yamdrok Lake is beautifully nestled amongst some of the most stunning mountain ranges. Return to Lhasa in the afternoon and visit Sera Monastery, which is one of the best-preserved monasteries in Tibet. Within its whitewashed walls and golden roofs, several hundred monks live and study. Catch the interesting sessions of monk debating.
Day 4: Lhasa Tour Ends.
Transfer to the airport for flight back home
