Be charmed by cultural Kathmandu and immerse in the Himalayan experience in an easy 4-day trek. While trekking in the Annapurna region, you stay in premier lodges with hot water and private ensuite bathrooms so your family is well-rested for your daily explorations of local villages and stunning mountain scenery. Replace the long road travel from Pokhara to Chitwan with an adrenaline pumping rafting trip over two days with an overnight stay by a River camp. End the trip with Chitwan National Park with quality safari and activities like elephant ride, jeep drive, bullock cart rides and more!

Day 1: Arrive to Kathmandu
Upon arrival, met and transfer to your hotel.

Day 2: Kathmandu to Pokhara, start trek to Birethanti (1025m, 2.5 hours)
After breakfast, drive to domestic airport with your guide for your flight to Pokhara or drive to Nayapul. This is a magnificent flight that includes all the western mountain ranges. Upon arrival at the airport, meet with your trek guide and porters and transfer by road to the trek start point called Nayapul.

Day 3: Birethanti to Gurung Lodge (1450m; 2/3 hours)
After breakfast, you will trek to the Gurung lodge situated at an altitude of 4756 feet. From this lodge, there are clear views of Annapurna South and the surrounding peaks. This is an uphill trek that will take 2/3 hours and passes through the famous bee village where honey is produced in the traditional way. After lunch, we will visit a small l museum set up by the locals that houses objects that have been used by the villagers for centuries. In the late afternoon, school children from the local school will visit the lodge and perform traditional dances and songs.

Day 4:   Gurung Lodge to Dhampus (1525m; 4 hours) via Majhgaun village
This morning we start out trekking through the unspoilt village of Majhgaun. Our walk then takes us through sub-tropical forests that include tree orchids, rhododendrons and magnolias. We also pass through the village of Pothana where many Tibetan traders live and sell their souvenirs. After about 4 hours, we arrive to Dhampus in time for lunch. After lunch there will be an optional walk to the old village of Dhampus. From Dhampus, there are sweeping views of the entire Annapurna Range.

Day 5: Dhampus to Pokhara
After an early breakfast, we depart along the ridge & descend through the wooded hillside and terraced farmland to the valley floor. Trek time 1.5 hours. We then transfer by vehicle to Pokhara in time for lunch. The afternoon is free to explore the lakeside with all its Tibetan curio shops.

Day 6:  Pokhara to Trisuli River Camp.
After breakfast, transfers by road for 3 hours through local countryside to the rafting start point. After a briefing, you will float for 3 hours with your raft crew to the Trisuli river camp which is located on a y bank with views over the river. Accommodation is in large safari style tents with attached bathrooms.

Day 7: Trisuli Camp to Chitwan National Park
Drive to Chitwan National Park. After an arrival briefing and settling into your accommodation, in the late afternoon, there will be an elephant back safari through the jungle to spot Chitwan is abundant wildlife.

Day 8: Chitwan National Park
After an early morning safari - on foot, elephant or by jeep according to your choice.

Day 9: Chitwan to Kathmandu
After the morning safari activities, transfer to Meghauly or Bharatpur for flight or drive back to Kathmandu. Upon arrival, met and transfer to your hotel. This afternoon, enjoy a city tour including Durbar Square and Swayambunath which offers a panoramic view of Kathmandu City.

Day 10: Family Fun Tour Ends
This afternoon, visit Pashupatinath, the most important Hindu Temple in Nepal and Boudnath, the country biggest Buddhist stupa and drive to airport to get fly back to home.
