Day 1: Arrive in Kathmandu (1360m)
Upon arrival in Kathmandu, you are met at the airport and transferred to your hotel. Our airport representative will be waiting outside at the arrival exit door in Kathmandu airport. Look out for your name written on A4 size paper. In the afternoon, a group briefing and discuss on trekking program and co-ordinate any last minute arrangements. The evening is free and prepare for trekking.
Day 2: Kathmandu Tour (1360m)
Kathmandu tour - visit Boudhanath Stupa, one of the biggest Buddhist shrines in the world, where we observe Buddhist monks in prayer in the monasteries surrounding the stupa, and Pashupatinath temple, the most famous Hindu temple in Nepal, located on the banks of the holy Bagmati River where we see Hindu holy men (sadhus) meditating, pilgrims bathing and occasionally funeral pyres burning on the ghats. The rest of our time in Kathmandu is free for further sightseeing and exploration. In the late afternoon make ready for trekking packing and last minute shopping.
Day 3: Kathmandu Syauli bazzar(1160m, 30 min flight, 1½ hours drive, 2.5 hours trek).
Get a 30 minute flight to Pokhara, with often spectacular views of the main Himalayan chain to the north and then drive by private coach to the starting point of the trek at Nayapul. Nearly 2 hours, easy walking to Syauli bazzar, a small hamlet from where we could see Mt Fishtail (6993m) on a clear day.
Day 4: Trekking Ghandruk (1940m)
4/5 hours trekking on gradually and steepens trekking trails passing through the settlements of Kimche where we can see the beautiful scenery and the village life, to Ghandruk is one of the biggest Gurung village of Annapurna region. Ghandruk is well known for the bravery gorkha soldiers who have served in the British Gurkha regiments. From Ghandruk, we have spectacular views of Annapurna South (7219m), Hiunchuli (6441m) and Machapuchhare (6993m). Tasty/drink and see the rakshi distilled in a traditional way at Ghandruk.
Day 5: Ghandruk Landruk (1565m, 3 hours) trekking.
Trekking 3/4 hours to Landruk, it descends and ascends through terraced fields and villages. Looking north you enjoy great views of the Modi Khola valley and Annapurna south and Mt .Fishtail higher up of the valley.
Day 6: Trek to Dhampus (1650m, 5 hours).
4/5 hours trekking through open areas and patches of beautiful woods and villages to Dhampus. On a day of trekking, we could see different plants and flower with birds, especially popular for rhododendron and orchids. Dhampus offers excellent views of the Annapurna range with Mt Fishtail, and Manaslu range.
Day 7: Dhampus Pokhara (850m) via Phedi, the trek end point.
Trek down through terraced fields and forests to Phedi, the trekking end point, it takes 2 hours trek. Then drive an hour to Pokhara. The rest of the day is free to relax or do some exploring. It is certainly worthwhile hiring a boat to row out on the lake (Phewa Tal), which is the second largest lake in Nepal.
Day 8: Pokhara tour (850m).
It is worthwhile and nice to spend an extra day in Pokhara to explore hidden caves, waterfalls, gorges and cultural center. Paragliding in Pokhara, Ultralight mountain flight and Zipline are an amazing adventure sports can be done on this day.
Day 9: Pokhara Kathmandu (1360m)
As per your time and budget, you could come to Kathmandu either by flight or by drive. If you drive, it takes 6 hours drive to Kathmandu and if you fly it is 30 minute. Both are amazing means to come to Kathmandu. On arrival in Kathmandu we are met and transferred back to hotel. The rest of the day is free to do souvenir shopping or further sightseeing.
Day 10: Kathmandu Airport (1360m).
Free until airport time after breakfast. Final transfer to airport to get your flight back to home. It is nice to be at airport 3 hours prior to the flight schedule time.
