Pumori is one of the famous and beautiful mountain lies at 7161m in Khumbu region of Nepal. This peak is lying close to the Nepal Tibet border. This Pumori is the name originate from Sherpa language which means unmarried daughter and also know as Everest little daughter. This expedition will build confidence level and gain technical skill. A German Swiss expedition team has first attempt the summit of Mt Pumori Expedition in 1962.
Thus Pumori expedition is an easy peak because of its unique pyramid shape. It offers an opportunity of wild exposure, views of mountains, and alpine. This peak is a serious expedition for experienced climber. So it is a technical challenging for those who have excellent physical apperance. There are many expedition climbing in this Pumori mountain in every season.
Hence this peak is one of the best easy climbing mountaineering in Khumbhu region. The normal route for the climbing expedition is South East Ridge. The way of Pumori route is leading up to the Khumbu Glacier extending down to Lobuche. It starts with the flight to Lukla then trek via Namche Bazaar, Tengaboche, Pheriche, Lobuche, Gorak Shep to Pumori Base Camp. To attempt a summit via the South East Ridge,you will passout 3 grade in snows and ice climb with climbing techniques.
Generally, the three camps are set up above the base camp. The Base camp will set up at the high of 5300m above. And you will climb through the glaciers approx. 4 hours to reach Camp 1 at 5700m. From Camp 1, you will climb the face of 40-60 degrees slope and pass through a snow wall to reach camp 2 at 6200m. From camp 2, you will climb through ice walls and crevasses to reach Camp 3 at 6480m. After you will passing through crevasses, climb up to Pumori cliff and then to the summit.
