Nepal ABC Trek-8 days Annapurna Base Camp Trek is an incredible trekking to the base of the third highest mountain in the world-Mount Annapurna. We hike through beautiful landscapes of forest, villages, pastures and isolated mountain hamlets. This is an easy and a less challenging trek in Nepal. Still, a good physical fitness is helpful because we do not acclimatization day on the trail. Annapurna base camp trek package is perfect for beginners, family, adults and seniors.
The 8 days Nepal trek to Annapurna Base Camp begins from Kathmandu to Pokhara. We further drive to beginning point of the trek, and continue trek to Annapurna base camp via Chhomrong, Deurali and MBC. The Annapurna Base Camp offers 360 degree view of the surrounding mountain peaks. The great view of the Himalayas creates an ever lasting moment once in a lifetime.
Jhinu Hot Spring is also an important point of ABC trek, as we spend a night before returning to Pokhara, city of nature and lakes.
Trekking Annapurna Base Camp Nepal is possible all year around. But Autumn and Spring are the best season. The weather and temperature is nice and warm in the day, yet colder in the morning and evening. The temperature of ABC trek mostly will be plus 28 degree to minus 15 degree, it depends on time of the year.

Day 01Kathmandu -Pokhara (820m, 200km, 6-7 hour)-Australian Camp(2000m, 4km, 2 hours)

Get tourist ride to Pokhara for 6 hours and then drive by private car or cab to Kade, and trek for 4km in 2 hours to Australian camp for overnight stay.
Day 02Australian Camp to Chhomrong(1940m, 15km, 5-6 hour trek)

Teahouse Accommodation on ABC Trek
The basic tea houses are available on the trek for boarding/lodging. Tea house is a small hotels, find in local villages that offer food and accommodation. Small two bed rooms are shared with 2 trekkers. Common western style sharing toilet and bathroom is running cold water. Also the hot shower is also available by paying extra cost for it. In some places, private room is possible with paying an extra cost. In the busy season of the year like Oct-Nov and March-April, it is generally impossible to arrange private rooms even if you are willing to pay extra cost due to the lack of room, and the number of hotel is very limited in the mountains.
Meals/Food during Annapurna base camp trek
Well, you will get three times meals on a day in the trek. The foods like omelets, toast, boiled eggs, noodle soup, fried rice, macaroni, Mo-Mo, vegetable curry, pizza, fried noodle, Dalbhat and Tibetan bread etc. you can choose from menu. Vegetarian meals are always a good choice. Meat on the trek is not hygienic, nice to stick on vegetarian meals on the trek. The drinks like coke, beer, hot water, tea, coffee, chocolate and snacks are available at the teahouse, you need to pay extra cost for it.
Weather and Temperature on ABC Trek.
You know, Jun, July and August are rainy seasons in Nepal. This is not the recommended time of year trekking ABC, no good visibility of the mountain. It rains any time of the day. The temperature will be minus 3 degree to plus 5 degree.
Autumn and Spring are best seasons, trek to Annapurna base camp Nepal. The weather is nice and warm with blue sky and clear view of the mountain. The day is sunny at this time. Temperature will be minus 6 degree to plus 25 degree.
Annapurna base camp trek is still possible in winter too, though the temperature is pretty cold and snow falls in the mountain. The mountain views are supper amazing, and mountain is shining from morning to evening. The temperature will be plus 4 to minus 20 degree on the trek as you are in high altitude.

Yes, and of course, ABC trek is possible if you have not trekked before. The trek is the best for beginners as this is a moderate grade trek.
You need to carry a good-sized of daypack so that you can put your personal belonging items like water, camera, snacks, sunscreen, hat, a fleece jacket and gloves. Porter will carry your big rucksack/double bag up to 12kg.
Well, and yes there is electricity in the most tea houses, but no heating in the room. There will be solar panel at Deurali, MBC and ABC. Charging battery is possible in the dining room by paying cost, ranges USD 1 to 2 USD per hour.
Yes and Well, travel insurance is compulsory, trekking to Annapurna Base Camp Nepal. Injury and altitude sickness is far too common on the trek. Make sure, your travel insurance covers Helicopter evacuation and other medical expenses in case of emergency.
Well, Autumn like September to November and Spring from March to May are the best seasons. At this time of the year, the weather is clear with blue sky, day is sunny, temperature is nice and warm, the mountain view is crystal clear.
Well, if someone get sick in the group, then we will send him/her back to the lower altitude with a porter/guide. The rest of the group will continue their trek to ABC. In the emergency case, we do evacuate/rescue him by helicopter to hospital in Kathmandu.
Well, there is no particular way to train it. Running, walking, swimming, hiking, yoga, cycling and regular exercise is helpful for ABC trek.
Well, there will be minimum 2 to 12 people maximum in the group, a mix of individuals, couples or friends of ages 20's to 60's. The group comprises of different nationalities.
Well, the trek difficulty to Annapurna base camp is moderate grade, so a good fitness is helpful to enjoy the ABC trek Nepal.
Well, Wi-fi and telephone network might not work everywhere and also for many days. However, most of the guest houses offer Wi-fi with paying charge/cost.
Well and Yes, you can get hot shower at the guest houses but you need to pay extra for it. Bucket hot water shower is possible at higher elevations like MBC and ABC with paying extra cost.
Well, you can use your credit card in Kathmandu and Pokhara for paying. The card does not work on the trek, so please make sure you are carrying enough cash in Nepalese rupees in the trek. You can cash out from ATM machine by using your card in Kathmandu and Pokhara.
Well, all hotels in Kathmandu and Pokhara provides free luggage storage service. So you can leave all unnecessary items/bag at your hotel. It is also possible to leave at your office too.
Well, tip is not required, but a small gesture of thanks to your guide and local porter is nice. The level of tip reflect the level of satisfaction with your guide. However, we recommend you to spend minimum 10% of your total trip cost, tipping guide and porter. You can give more if you are happy with their service. There is no bar for tipping more if you want.
Well and of course, all group trek departure is guaranteed to run. We never cancel the trek due to lack of enough participants. We do operate the trek for single person as a private at very minimum additional cost.
Well, the charging facility is available at teahouse reception by paying some extra charges. Please kindly bring TWO and THREE pin travel adapters. You can also buy adapters at electronic shops in Kathmandu and Pokhara. Our guide will help you for this.
