Dhampus peak climbing is a wonderful peak lies in Nepal Annapurna Region. It is also known as Thapa peak climbing. This peak is easy expedition to climb because it does not require any technical climbing skills to high base camp. This peak climbing is category as an easy trekking peak in Nepal. From this peak you will view excellent sight of Annapurna I, II, III, IV.
This peak is a unchallenging mountain to climb the summit without any technical skill.On the way you will follow a beautiful natural pathfor trekking trail. Also you can observor thirty different peaks from the summit o Dhampus which make yours journey amazing moment. Apart from natural beauty you will experience different culture and tradition of that region people. This is a perfect for beginner climber that make great experience of mountain climbing.
Your journey to Dhampus summit begins from Kathamndu to Nayapul. And you will follow the ascend trail to reach the Dhampus peak summit. From the Dhampus peak a climber will view the Himlayan of Annapurna, Nilgiri Peak, Tilicho Peak, and other snow-capped mountain. You will spend a short time at the summit and follow the descend route to Yak kharka to Jomsom. And fly back to Pokhara and drive back to Kathamandu with lots of mesmerizig memory for your lifetime memory.
You will not require any technical skill to pass this summit. Only you need a good and strong physical and mental fitness challeges for the peak climbing. But a climber need to bring the necessary climbing gear for the peak climbing. And you will must follow the instruction of your experience sherpa guide to pass the summit. So you can do this trekking trail on the month of September to November and March to May.
Trip Itinerary
Day 01Arrival in Kathmandu
45 minutes from airport to Thamel BB Plan- Breakfast Standard Accommodation Hotel in Kathmandu
You will be received by us at Kathmandu airport on arrival to Nepal. We wait you there with your name on paper. Then we drive to hotel and spend free afternoon on your own. Trip briefing and discuss on climbing trekking itinerary.
Day 02Kathmandu Tour
Full day Sightseeing BB Plan- Breakfast Standard Accommodation Hotel in Kathmandu
Prepare for climbing and shopping the necessary climbing gear and equipment.
Day 03Kathmandu to Pokhara (915m)
200 km, 6 hours BB Plan- Breakfast Standard Accommodation Hotel in Kathmandu
Drive to Pokhara by tourist bus or by flight. It is nearly 200km distant from Kathmandu and if we take tourist bus drive it takes 6 hour scenic drive and if by flight it is 30 minute scenic flight.
Day 04Pokhara to Tikhedhunga (1577m)
4 hours AP Plan- Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner Basic Tea house lodge
Drive to Nayapul (1070m) for an hour by private coach and trek to Tikhedhunga. It is short and easy trek on trail of village, rice field and river, it is nearly 4 hours trekking to Tikhedhunga.
Day 05Trek to Ghorepani (2855m)
6/7 hours AP Plan- Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner Basic Tea house lodge
Trekking to Ghorepani takes 6/7 hours on uphill trail passing villages and alpine forest of oak, pines and rhododendron. The part of trekking is pretty steep uphill to Ulleri village, and then it is less steep uphill to Ghorepani.
Day 06Trek Ghorepani to Tatopani

Early in the morning hike to Poon Hill (3210m) for wonderful Himalayan scenery and breakfast at ghorepani and continue trek to Tatopani /Natural hot spring (1189m). Trekking to Tatopani is all downhill takes 6/7 hours walking.
Day 07Trek to Ghasa (2010m)
5 hours AP Plan- Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner Basic Tea house lodge
Trekking is easier than the previous day trekking following Kali Gandaki River either on the motor road or the old trekking trail, it takes 5 hours walking.
Day 08Trek to Marpha (2670m)
5/6 hours AP Plan- Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner Basic Tea house lodge
An easy trekking day walks almost on flat trail following the Kaligandaki river upto Marpha takes 5/6 hours walking. Landscapes and view is pretty nice. River basin with green pine trees on both sides, high peaked mountains Annapurna and Dhaulagiri.
Day 09Trek to Yak Kharka (3680m)

Trek 5/6 hours uphill walk to Yak Kharka.
Day 10Trek to Dhampus Base Camp (5100m)
4/5 hours AP Plan- Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner Basic Camping tent lodge
Trek to Dhampus base camp takes 4/5 hours, trails are all uphill.
Day 11Trek to High Camp (5600m) Dhampus

Our climbing guide will teach you how to fixed the rope, how to belay the rope, how to ascend, how to descend etc.
Day 12Summit Dhampus Peak

Early in the morning, our climbing guide will take for Dhampus peak (6012m) summit and back to Dhampus peak base camp.
Day 13Trek to Yak Kharka (3680m)

Trek back to Yak Kharka on the same trail as we trekked up.
Day 14Trek to Marpha (2670m).

Day 15Trek to Jomsom (2710m)
2/3 hours AP Plan- Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner Basic Tea house lodge
Trek to Jomsom, it takes 2/3 hours and explore Jomsom like visit Jomsom Mountain Museum and Tini village.
Day 16Jomsom to Pokhara
BB Plan- Breakfast Standard Accommodation Hotel in Pokhara
Fly back to Pokhara in the morning and walk around Pokhara.
Day 17Pokhara to Kathmandu
6 hours BB Plan- Breakfast Standard Accommodation Hotel in Kathmandu
Drive to Kathmandu by tourist bus or by flight.
