Receive you at your hotel at 6:15 am, get you into tourist bus drive to Charaudi/Fishling, the rafting staring point that is around 3 hour drive. Once we arrive in Chauraudi, we will give you all the equipment you will need and a comprehensive safety briefing and practice session before we start our river ratting tour. We will raft for around an hour in some gentle rapids before pulling up on a beautiful sandy beach for lunch which your raft guides will rustle up for you. After a half hour break, and having been re-fuelled, we will jump back in the raft for the biggest rapids of the day. Once you catch your breath, here is chance for one last swim and a 10m cliff jump for those who are brave enough. It is then a short float to the end point of today rafting and you can get changed before heading on to your next destination. Arrangements can be made to drop you back to Kathmandu, or onto Chitwan or Pokhara just let us know when booking this day river rafting trip from Kathmandu. Our Guides carry a comprehensive medical kit. But you should bring your own personal kit and carry it with you when on the trek. It should contain antiseptic cream, throat lozenges, headache pills, diarrhoea treatment, re-hydration salts eg Dioralite, Lemsip, plasters and Compede for blisters.
The hotel in Kathmandu provides the free storage services. So you can leave all your items that are not required for the trekking at your hotel or you can leave in our office too.
This is a difficult thing to gauge. We have seen everything from USD 20 to USD 1000 per person for guides and porters. Tipping is not required, but a small gesture of thanks to your guides and local porters. The level of the tip should reflect the level of satisfaction from and personal involvement with your guide. However, we recommend you to spend minimum 10% of your total trip cost for tipping entire local staffs, the ratio of tipping guide and porter will be given to you at the pre-trip meeting in Kathmandu before starting the travel.
