Tibet package tour 6 days explores mainly Lhasa and Namtso lake. These are the most landmark sites of Tibet. Lhasa is the capital city of Tibet. This is both private and a small group tour package to Tibet. You can come to Lhasa both from mainland China and also Kathmandu Nepal.

If you are coming to Lhasa from mainland China, it needs both Chinese visa and Tibet travel permit in your hand before boarding flight and train to Lhasa. If you are coming to Lhasa from Kathmandu Nepal to join the 6 days Tibet pacakge tour, then it requires both Tibet/China paper group visa and Tibet travel permit.

Once arrive in Lhasa airport,  receive you at the airport and drive to hotel.  You will have 2 full day sightseeing tour in Lhasa visiting Potala palance, jokhang temple, Barkhor street, Sera and drepung monasteries. Then we drive to Namtso lake, the biggest salt lake in Tibet which is nearly 300km far from Lhasa. We spend one night in Namtso lake, visit around Namtso Lake and drive back to Lhasa. Spend night in Lhasa. The trip ends. On day 6 we drop you Lhasa airport to get your onward flight to Kathmandu or to mainland China.

The 6 days Tibet package tour is highly recommend for solo packpacker looking for group joining  tour in Tibet. You have to buy Tibet package tour to visit Tibet. Once you book Tibet tour with us,we take cares of everything like Tibet travel permit, Tibet/China paper group visa and flight ticket between Kathmandu and Lhasa.

Tibetan guide, Tibet travel permit, transportation either by van or bus, all entrance fee, twin sharing hotel acommodation with breakfast includes.  But the flight and  train ticket cost, lunch and dinner and Tibet/China paper group visa cost does not include.

We can do this tour all around the year. Winter season from December to February does not recommend this tour.  The whole months of March, Tibet will close for tour group. So Tibet tour in March is not possible. April to the middle of December is the time for Tibet package tour.

You will have good hotel accommodation in Lhasa but there will be basic tent house accomodation for a night in Namsto Lake. This trip is suitable for all age group like beginners to advance hikers. Trip Itinerary


Upon arrival in Lhasa either by train or flight, your guide/representative will receive you there and transfer to your hotel Viewing the Yarlung Tsangpo River/ Bhamaputra river, the Longest and largest river in Tibet and Lhasa river on their way to Lhasa.Take a rest and get acclimatized to high altitude You can spend the afternoon wandering around the Barkhor, Tibet’s ancient market area that surrounds Jokhang Temple. Each day thousands of Buddhist pilgrims make their way around this sacred temple. You may visit Potala Square, where you will enjoy the fountain with different colors and get amazing photos of the Potala and around.


You will start the day by exploring the Potala Palace, Tibet’s most iconic building. Towering above Lhasa with more than 1000 rooms, the Potala Palace served as the winter residence of the Dalai Lama’s for hundreds of years. After lunch, you will go to explore the Jokhang temple, the holiest Buddhist temple in the Himalayas. Founded nearly 1400 years ago, Jokhang Temple houses the most sacred statue of Buddha. You will work your way through this fascinating temple alongside Buddhist pilgrims from the faraway regions of Tibet. The sound of pilgrims chanting mantras fills the air as does the smell of yak butter candle offerings. Around the temple is Barkhor street, where you can do kora, a religious circle of a building or mountain with pilgrims and locals, and explore the old market.


Today you will explore 600 year old Sera monastery, one of Tibet’s largest Buddhist monasteries. Each weekday afternoon starting at 3pm, monks engage in Buddhist philosophy debates, which are fun to photograph.You can also see three sand Mandalas and colorful Rock Painting of Buddha. After lunch, you will go to Drepung, another of Tibet’s huge monastic complexes. The pilgrimage circuit around Drepung takes about an hour or so and offers spectacular views.You can visit biggest monastery kitchen inside the monastery and enjoy Buddhist Sculpture Carving workshop near Drepung.


In the morning, drive from Lhasa to Lake Namtso, one of the four holy lakes of Tibet and also the highest saline lake in the world. On the way, you can see snow-capped Nyenchen Thanglha Mountain Ranges and lots of nomads and their tent with grazing yak and sheep densely-populated on the flourishing grassland ( in summer) . Besides, you can enjoy the view of Sky-Road Railway with snow mountain background; while standing at the famous Lagenla Mountain Pass(5190m), you can view the stunning vista of holy Namtso Lake. Then we can do leisure trek around Tashi Island and enjoy sunset of Namtso. At night, we you enjoy night view of the milky way at the lake shore. Stay overnight at Namtso Tent Guest house

Note that the accommodation at Namtso won’t be available to tourists until June, after you finish the tour at Namtso Lake, you will spend the night at Damxung. On day 5, you will head back to Lhasa, during which you will visit Yangpachen hot spring and Chimelong nunnery and enjoy the vista of a sky burial site nearby.


Enjoy the sunrise view of the Namtso Lake at the lake shore, you can trek along the lake shore to Tashi Dor Island to explore the meditation caves. Drive to Dumxung to have lunch. In the afternoon, you may enjoy Yangpachen hot spring (Optional,Price $25 not included in package) and have both indoor and outdoor swimming pool filled with hot springs water. Finally, head back to Lhasa. Stay overnight in Lhasa


The trip ends, and after breakfast, you will be transferred to the Lhasa airport/train staion and depart Tibet.
