Tibet travel tour is a 9 nights 10 days Tibet small group joining tour. This tour we also call Lhasa Everest Base Camp Namtso Lake tour. A moderate grade tour in Tibet. This tour is suitable for people who are physically fit, and also have high altitude travel experience.

It is possible to come to Lhasa to join on 9 days Tibet travel tour both from Nepal and China.  Once arrive in Lhasa airport, we receive you there and drive to your hotel in Lhasa city.  You will have 2 full day sightseeing tour in and around Lhasa, and then we travel toward Everest base camp via Gyantse and Shigatse crossing high passes and also the beautiful Yamdrok Lake.

Once we visit Rongbuk Monastery and see the world's tallest mountain Mount Everest, we drive back to Lhasa again the capital of Lhasa.  After that we drive to Namtso Lake, the salt lake in Tibet where we spent a night at basic tent guest house and return to Lhasa via Yangpachen.

This is one of the best Tibet tour to experience that Tibet has to offer. This is a group joining tour in Tibet. April to the end of November is the best time to travel in Tibet.  Winter is  cold and not recommend for this tour. The whole months of March, Tibet remain close. It is not possible tour to Tibet in March.

Trip Itinerary


Upon arrival in Lhasa either by train or flight, your guide/representative will receive you there and transfer to your hotel Viewing the Yarlung Tsangpo River/ Bhamaputra river, the Longest and largest river in Tibet and Lhasa river on their way to Lhasa.Take a rest and get acclimatized to high altitude You can spend the afternoon wandering around the Barkhor, Tibet’s ancient market area that surrounds Jokhang Temple. Each day thousands of Buddhist pilgrims make their way around this sacred temple. You may visit Potala Square, where you will enjoy the fountain with different colors and get amazing photos of the Potala and around.


You will start the day by exploring the Potala Palace, Tibet’s most iconic building. Towering above Lhasa with more than 1000 rooms, the Potala Palace served as the winter residence of the Dalai Lama’s for hundreds of years. After lunch, you will go to explore the Jokhang temple, the holiest Buddhist temple in the Himalayas. Founded nearly 1400 years ago, Jokhang Temple houses the most sacred statue of Buddha. You will work your way through this fascinating temple alongside Buddhist pilgrims from the faraway regions of Tibet. The sound of pilgrims chanting mantras fills the air as does the smell of yak butter candle offerings. Around the temple is Barkhor street, where you can do kora, a religious circle of a building or mountain with pilgrims and locals, and explore the old market.


Today you will explore 600 year old Sera monastery, one of Tibet’s largest Buddhist monasteries. Each weekday afternoon starting at 3pm, monks engage in Buddhist philosophy debates, which are fun to photograph.You can also see three sand Mandalas and colorful Rock Painting of Buddha. After lunch, you will go to Drepung, another of Tibet’s huge monastic complexes. The pilgrimage circuit around Drepung takes about an hour or so and offers spectacular views.You can visit biggest monastery kitchen inside the monastery and enjoy Buddhist Sculpture Carving workshop near Drepung.


In the morning, drive from Lhasa to Shigatse crossing over the Gampala pass (4790 m), and you will have a glimpse of Yamdrok-tso (4400m) .The Lake is surrounded by many snow-capped mountains and in the distance you can have spectacular views of Holy Mount Nyenchen Khangsar, (7191m) the highest mountain near Lhasa. Later, we will pass and enjoy the Karola Glacier on the roadside. At Manak Dam Lake, you can hang pray flag at Simila Mountain Pass. Then, we will arrive in Gyantse, historically Tibet's third largest city after Lhasa and Shigatse.In Gyantse, we will visit the famous Pelkor Monastery and Gyantse Kumbum and enjoy the Far view of Gyangtse Fortress. After one and a half driving, we arrive in Shigatse, which is the second largest city in Tibet. In Shigatse, we may visit traditional Barley Mill and view the landscape of Barley Field. Stay overnight in Shigatse


In the morning, we will visit the home of Panchan Lama - Tashilunpo Monastery. Then, we’ll leave Shigatse after getting your Alien’s travel permit, and then drive to Lhatse, it is a small town where you can have lunch. After lunch, we will pass Tsola Pass(4600M), and Gyatsola Pass(5248M). Shortly after we enter Mt. Everest National Nature Reserve, tourists can enjoy the panorama of Himalaya at Gyaula Pass(5198m).Then we drive along the New zigzag road to Everest Base Camp(5200m). You can get closer view of Mt. Everest. The sunset of golden Everest peak if time and weather permits at the lodging area. Stay overnight at tent or Rongbuk monastery guest house.


In the morning, you can see the sunrise over Mount Everest if weather permits. Then we will visit the Rongbu Monastery - the unique highest monastery with nuns and monks living together. You can visit the Everest Base Camp monument and take the close-up shot of Mt. Everest. Finally, we will drive back to Shigatse. Stay overnight in Shigatse.


Today, we will drive back to Lhasa by following Yarlung Valley. You can stand on the viewing platform and view the vast Yarlung River bed. Finally the guide will transfer you back to your hotels in Lhasa. Stay overnight in Lhasa


In the morning, drive from Lhasa to Namtso Lake, one of the four holy lakes of Tibet and also the highest salt lake in the world. On the way, you can see snow-capped Nyenchen Thanglha Mountain Ranges and lots of nomads and their tent with grazing yak and sheep densely-populated on the flourishing grassland in summer. Besides, you can enjoy the view of Sky-Road Railway with snow mountain background while standing at the famous Lagenla Mountain Pass(5190m), you can view the stunning vista of holy Namtso Lake. Then we can do leisure trek around Tashi Island and enjoy sunset of Namtso. At night, we you enjoy night view of the milky way at the lake shore. Stay overnight at Namtso Tent Guest house.

Note that the accommodation at Namtso won’t be available to tourists until June, after you finish the tour at Namtso Lake, you will spend the night at Damxung. The next day, you will head back to Lhasa, during which you will visit Yangpachen hot spring and Chimelong nunnery and enjoy the vista of a sky burial site nearby.


Enjoy the clear morning at the lake shore, you can trek along the lake shore to Tashi Dor Island to explore the meditation caves. Drive to Dumxung to have lunch. In the afternoon, you may enjoy Yangpachen hot spring (Optional) and have both indoor and outdoor swimming pool filled with hot springs water. Finally, head back to Lhasa. Stay overnight in Lhasa.


The trip ends, and after breakfast, you will be transferred to the Lhasa airport/train staion and depart Tibet.
