Detail Itinerary of Kathmandu Chitwan Pokhara Package 9 days

Day 01: Kathmandu Airport

You will be received at Kathmandu airport by our representative holding your name plate. After formal meeting,and welcome with a traditional flower garland and transferred to your hotel. There is an option of familiarization walk to the old Kathmandu in the suburb of tourist center of Thamel.

Day 02: Kathmandu Tour

Breakfast, and guided Kathmandu tour visit the important historical and heritage sites within Kathmandu. Kathmandu Durbar Square showcases Nepalese art and architecture at its best. The architecture is typical of the Malla dynasty who ruled over Nepal from the 12th to the 18th century.The living goddess Kumari is the highlights of Kathmandu durbar square. Swayambhunath is popular among the foreigners as the Monkey Temple owing to the large monkey population residing in the area. It offers a great view of Kathmandu valley Pashupatinath Temple is situated on the banks of river Bagmati and is one of the principal temples of Lord Shiva where you can see dead body cremation and the holymen Shadus. The Bauddhanath Stupa is one of the largest stupas in South Asia which is built on the ancient trade route to Tibet. Here you can see the Tibet and the Sherpa Buddhism.

Day 03: Kathmandu to Chitwan (815 m, 175 km, 5-6 hours)

Today we take an early morning breakfast and drive to Chitwan National Park. We drive along the winding road on the banks of the Trishuli River. After checking in to the hotel,there will be a briefing on the activities we will be engaged in during your stay in Chitwan. Check in Hotel, lunch and We then walk on the banks of the Rapti River to enjoy the sunset in the sub-tropical jungles of Chitwan after Tharu village walk. In the evening, we enjoy dinner along with a brief cultural program showcasing the Tharu cultural dances unique to the Chitwan region of Nepal.

Day 04: Chitwan National Park Tour

Early in the morning, elephant riding for a jungle safari through dense grasslands to witness wildlife in its natural habitat. After breakfast, we visit the elephant stables and even enjoy bathing the elephants. During the afternoon we can drive through the jungles followed by a canoe ride down the Rapti River. While canoeing, we may get a close look at the Gharial and Mugger crocodiles along with fresh water dolphins, otters and varieties of water birds.Or,we may even go for bird watching or nature walks and come closer to a variety of wild flora and fauna found in the park.Overnight in Chitwan.

Day 05: Chitwan to Pokhara(175km, 6 hours)

Breakfast and drive to Pokhara, the second largest city of Nepal. Arrive in scenic Pokhara, home to three of the highest mountains in the world. Afternoon tour of some of the Pokhara Valley’s natural wonders including cascading Devi’s Falls which drops out of sight and is hidden in an underground gorge and the Seti Gandaki River, that flows throughout the city. Visit Gorkha Memorial Museum before continuing to the diverse Old Bazaar with its ethnic traders and stalls selling everything from edibles to gold, it’s definitely an interesting place to stroll. Here you also see the white domed Bindhyabasini Mandir, one of Pokhara’s most important shrines,dedicated to the Goddess Bhagwati. The rest of the day is at leisure in Pokhara walking around Lake side Pokhara at the banks of Phewa Lake.

Day 06: Pokhara Tour

Early morning hike to the view point at the Peace Pagoda or drive to Sarankot to see the unforgettable sunrise over the mountain peaks. The Annapurna mountain range dominates your northern view while the sweeping expanse of the Pokhara Valley looms over the south and east. This is a not-to-be-missed experience! Return to the hotel for breakfast, followed by a visit to the International Mountain Museum. View the many exhibits focused on technique, equipment, and materials for hiking, of great interest in a country that is dominated by hikers and trekkers. The museum is in a perfect location, surrounded by the stunning Annapurna mountain range, a favorite place for adventurers. Today it is also possible to do one of the adventure activities like paragliding, zipline, untralight flight and bungee jump. Stay night in Pokhara.

Day 07: Pokhara to Kathmandu(200km, 6 hours)

Breakfast and either get tourist bus drive or flight back to Kathmandu. It takes 6 hours drive by bus and 30 mintues scenic flight by plane. The trip ends.

Day 08: Patan and Bhaktapur Tour

Breakfast and drive to visit Patan city of fine arts. Patan is better known as “The city of a thousand golden roofs.” Once separated from the capital, Patan and Kathmandu are now separated only by a bridge over the Bagmati River. The city of Patan has recovered its label of origin “Lalitpur”. The historic heart of the city is entangled with narrow streets and theatrical decoration-brick houses with carved wooden balconies and bronze decorations, patios and backyards that house oratories, temples. The city is famous throughout the country for its tradition of blacksmiths and goldsmiths. Artisans model effigies of the divinities of the Hindu and Buddhist pantheons. The city has more than 50 main temples, some of which were destroyed or damaged by the earthquake of April 2015. Many stupas, chaytyas and bahal-ancient Buddhist monasteries bear testimony to the long history of Buddhism in the city that remains today a Bastion of Newars Buddhism in the Kathmandu Valley. The four stupas erected in the four cardinal points, originally defined the city. They were erected during the reign of Emperor Ashoka some 250 years before our era.Ths sightseeing points in Patan are Patan durbur square and Museum, Golden Temple, Kumbeshwor Temple, Mahaboudha temple and Rudravarna temple.

After Patan Tour and we drive then to Bhadgaon also known as Bhaktapur-the “city of devotees”. Founded in the 9th century it is the home of medieval art and architecture. Here you can visit the Durbar Square, with its array of temples, and the Palace of 55 Windows. This Palace is the best example of the Pagoda style of architecture and stands on five terraces, on each of which stands a pair of figures: two strong men, two elephants, two lions, two griffins and two goddesses. Walk around Bhanktapur that includes Bhaktapur durbar square, Nyatpole temple, Dattratraya sqaure and Pottery square and after Bhaktapur tour we drive you back to Kathmandu.

Day 09: Kathmandu Airport

Breakfast, receive you at your hotel and transferred from your hotel to the airport to get your flight back to home.
