Detail Itinerary of Larkya Peak Climbing 21 days

01

Day 01: Arrive in Kathmandu (1400 m)

On arrival in Kathmandu, you are met at the airport and taken to your hotel. Your guide will give you the latest information and preparation of the trek.

Day 02: Kathmandu – Arkhet bazzar (620 m)

About 10 hours of private bus drive to Arkhet Bazzar. Along the way you contemplate the beautiful view of the mountains of Langtang and Ganesh.

Day 03: Trek from Arkhet bazzar to Labubesi (880m, 7 hours )

7 hours trek on cultivated rice fields and forests, ascending and descending via villages –Koketar and Kyoropani to Labubesi.

Day 04: Trek from Labubesi to Tatopani (990 m, 6 to 7 hours )

Trekking goes past the villages –Kani gaun, Machha Khola and Khorla besi watching out Gurung and Tibetan mixed culture while walking to Tatopani.

Day 05: Trek from Tatopani to Phillim (1590 m 5 to 6 hours)

Trekking encounters with small rivers and bridges, climb on paved roads and discover beautiful thatched stone houses with fantastic view of Mt. Shringi Himal (7187 m) to Phillim, a big Gurung village.

Day 06: Trek from Phillim to Bihi Phedi (2130 m 6 hours)

Trekking between towering walls of a narrow gorge, encounters with waterfalls and bridges. We also past some villages with Tibetan influence culture and forest, enjoying the magnificent background view of Kutung Himal.

Day 07: Trek from Bihi Phedi to Lihi (2900 m, 7 hours)

Trek towards Ghap and back down to the bed of the Buri Gandaki. The climb is steeper on the left side before reaching Namrung, the most beautiful monasteries and continue to Lihi .

Day 08: Trek from Lihi to Sama Gaun (3500 m 6 to 7 hours )

Trek through villages, meadows watching the views of peaks Naike (7157 m) and Manaslu (8163 m).

Day 09: Trek from Sam Gaun to Samdu (3780 m 5 hours )

The trek through dramatic vegetation forest crossing over wooden bridge over Manaslu glacier with glacial lake on a moraine to Samdu, nestled behind the cliff. Manaslu is in background behind of this village.

Day 10: Trek from Samdu to Samdu base camp (4,450 m, 6 to 7 hours)

For acclimatization, head to Samdu Peak base camp, you do the next day.

Day 11: Trek from Climb Samdu Peak (5140m) to Samdu (3780m, 8 hours)

Moraine leads you to a peak. The top view of the north face of Larkya peak gives you a taste of the rest of your trip. You descend to the village for the night.

Day 12: Trek from Samdu to Larkya Phedi (4450 m, 5 to 6 hours)

Trek a gentle descent, crossing two streams of glacier Larkya and then walk to Salka Khola valley to Daram Shala, also known as Larkya Phedi.

Day 13: Trek from Larkya Phedi to Larkya North (5100 m, 4 to 5 hours )

This is the “biggest day. Cross Larkya pass and discover a new universe. We walk along the rocky moraine trail to turquoise lake which reflects the surrounding snow-capped mountains. Whichever it may be completely frozen. An hour later you reach an empty hangar. From here the trail becomes sportier and climbs on many rocky moraines with snowy peaks in the background. Just before crossing Larkya you cross several small shallow lakes before the final climb to the prayer flags marking the first part of Larkya Pass. Night at base camp Larkya North.

Day 14: Trek Larkya (6010 m) Peak Climbing Summit

Start to climb for summiting Larkya Peak. You wander moraine that leads to the foot of the last corridor. You put on crampons to reach the top. Row 150m 35 ° with the installation of a fixed rope. From the top, you contemplate the beautiful scenery that offers you to Manaslu and dominated by the chain of Annapurna. You retrace your steps to reach your base.

Day 15: Larkya Base Camp (5100 m)

Stay an extra day in base camp when weather conditions.

Day 16: Trek from Larkya base camp to Bimthang (3800 m) via Larkya La pass - 3 to 5 hours of descent

Trekking to Larkya La (5135 m) from where on a clear day the view is magnificent and then descent to the glacier moraine Salpudanda. Continue trek down to Bimthang, a village from where see the panoramic view of the west and Phungi Manalsu (6398 m). Overnight in camp.

Day 17: Trek from Bhimtang to Tilije (2300 m 8 hours)

Down in the forest to the river to reach the village inhabited by Tibetans Tiliche Manangis. A magical atmosphere reigns through the forest of rhododendrons, glaciers in the background and Dhudh Khola great flood. You arrive at the large village of Tilije from the pass.

Day 18: Trek from Tilije to Jagat (1300 m, 6 to 7 hours)

This morning you continue your descent to Dharapani. You walk along the Dhudh Khola until Thonje, confluence with the river Marsyandi. You join the Annapurna trail ride. You are here Manangi country.

Day 19: Trek from Jagat to Besisahar (820 m ,5 hours)

The trail passes through terraced rice fields and village on a hill and down to Besisahar, dusty and busy that marks the end of your trek and the beginning of civilization.

Day 20: Back from Besisahar to Kathmandu

6 hours bus overland tour to Kathmandu. End of the day and free.

Day 21: Kathmandu Airport

Final airport transfers to airport to get fly back to home or extended your tour to Kathmandu and Chitwan National Park.
