Lhakpa Ri is a perfect mountaineering experiences lies at the height of 7045m, in Tibet side. This mountain is close to Mt. Everest, and divides the upper east Rombuk and Kharta glaciers. The expedition teams are also using the same routes as the previous four expedition teams had used. This peak has successful the first ascent summit from George Mallory in 1921, second ascent through Bill Tilman in 1936. And the third ascent through French Everest summiter, Michelle Pelle in 1988.
This expedition is relatively safe and straightforward route to climbing the summit. It is not technical challenges mountain but require climbing skills and good physical fitness. So, you will experience the marvelous beauty of tibet plateau and traditional culture of the tibet. You will view the stunning mountain of several 8000m above peak likes Everest, Makalu, Lhotse and other many.
The expedition commences from Kathmandu to Nyalam and follow the trail to Tingri to Lhakpa RI Base camp 5200m. After that you have spend a few days for acclimatization on the base camp. Then continuing ahead towards the Middle camp 5780m to the Advance Base camp at 6400m. From the East Rombuk Glacier to the Rophu La you will view fantastic mountain of Makalu and Kanchanjunga. After that you will get good route of Lhakpa Ri summit.
After reaching the summits, you will view he outstanding Himalayan and choose a several route to back way. Spring season is perfect time for Lhakpa Ri expedition than Autumn season. The climate forecast is better than the Autumn. The new route may give another enthusiastic and charming experience. The route to base camp creates unforgettable journey.
